Join Our Community

Our community memberships are best suited for individuals and groups who:

Are interested in emerging research in climate and environment

Would like to support and amplify under-represented scholars and researchers

Would like access to curated resources on decolonial and anti-racist climate and environmental research

Why become a member?

Becoming a member helps sustain community-led climate work rooted in care, creativity, and equity. Your support makes it possible to publish the Through the Trees Journal, host gatherings, and fund opportunities for Black and Indigenous researchers through our Evergreen Equity Fund.

  • Core Offerings (all tiers)

    • Annual journal (physical and/or digital copy depending on tier)

    • Access to Annotations (audio recordings expanding on journal research)

    • Invitation to the annual convening + curated conversations

    Engagement & Input (all tiers)

    • Opportunities to participate in surveys and feedback

    • Voting on themes, topics, and featured content for upcoming journal issues

  • All membership tiers include access to curated content created and selected by our team — from seasonal readings and creative reflections to our Through the Trees Journal. Each piece is chosen to spark connection, deepen understanding, and celebrate the many ways climate knowledge and care take root in community.

  • Membership is more than a subscription — it’s an invitation to grow together. All tiers include access to community spaces and gatherings, both virtual and in person. Join us for local meet-ups like coffee shop co-working sessions, networking circles, and book clubs, or take part in book talks and conversations with featured authors and contributors.

Members also receive our periodic newsletter with updates, opportunities, and behind-the-scenes reflections.

We’re exploring options for an online community space or group chat to make it easier to connect, collaborate, and share ideas between gatherings.

All tiers gain access to the annual journal in print, access to annotations and a complimentary invitation to the annual convening. Each tier also participate in surveys and feedback to help us improve our offerings and vote on themes, topics, and featured content for upcoming journal issues.
